for graphics and music i prefer ubuntu, for server work.. opensolaris

but i must admit that after trying so many OS (unixes and non-unixes) there is no such thing as perfect OS.

Yeah. Maybe someday, when the competition is between open-source projects rather than open source trying to out-compete commerical vendors. That's when the real innovation will happen.
